Packaging for Bakery Brands

Packaging for bakery brands has to handle grease, moisture and a product that is often still warm when it goes in. Here are the formats that cope, and the window decision that changes the whole build.

The formats that actually fit

Every one of these is a construction TWOFORM generates a real production dieline for, at your own dimensions — not a template you have to fit your product into.

The thing that decides it

Grease resistance is a board specification

Standard board wicks fat and shows it within hours as translucent patches. A grease-resistant board is a different material, not a coating you add later, so it has to be chosen up front — and it affects how the printed colour sits.

The mistake this category makes

Adding a window without planning for it

A window is a die-cut hole plus a film patch, and it removes printable area exactly where the design usually wants to be. Decide the window early and design around the aperture, rather than cutting a hole through a finished layout.

How you actually make it

  1. Pick the construction and type your real dimensions. The dieline is generated at that exact size and validated against real manufacturing limits as it draws — if a size cannot be folded, glued and shipped, it says so before you design anything on it.
  2. Describe your brand and the AI designs the artwork directly onto that dieline — not onto a picture of a box.
  3. Place your own logo, barcode and any required panel yourself. The AI leaves them exactly as placed unless you ask it to change them.
  4. Fold it in live 3D to check it, then download print-ready files to use with any printer — or have TWOFORM manufacture it, from 100 units.

Questions bakery brands ask

What kind of box do I need for cakes?

A grease-resistant folding carton for most single items, moving to corrugated as size and weight increase. An auto-bottom construction is worth it if staff assemble boxes during service, because it pops open in one motion.

Can I put a window in a bakery box?

Yes — it is a die-cut aperture with a film patch behind it. Plan it from the start, because it takes printable area out of the middle of the panel where your design usually sits.

Where do allergen warnings go?

Somewhere legible and consistent, and it is easiest to carry them on a label rather than printing them into the box. That way one stocked box serves every recipe and you only reprint the label.
