Settle this before you design
The bottle's straight wall is shorter than you think
A woozy bottle has a shoulder and a heel, and a label can only sit on the straight section between them — usually around four inches on a five-ounce bottle. Measure that straight wall and the circumference before you draw anything, and keep the label a few millimetres inside both so it does not wrinkle at the shoulder.
The mistake that costs a print run

Condensation gets under an uncoated paper label within a week and the edges curl, then the print bleeds. Clear or white film with a suitable adhesive is the difference between a shelf-ready pack and one that looks second-hand by the time it is opened.
How you actually make it
- Open the structure above and type your real dimensions. The dieline is generated at that exact size and validated against real manufacturing limits as it draws — if a size cannot be folded, glued and shipped, it says so before you design anything on it.
- Describe your brand and the AI designs the artwork directly onto that dieline — not onto a picture of a package.
- Place your own logo, barcode and any required panel yourself. The AI leaves them exactly as placed unless you ask it to change them.

Questions about custom hot sauce labels
What size label fits a 5 oz woozy bottle?
Around 2.25in tall by 4in wide is standard, which wraps most of the straight wall. Check your own bottle: the straight section between shoulder and heel is what limits the height.
Paper or film for a sauce label?
Film. Sauce bottles get wiped, refrigerated and handled with wet hands, all of which destroy a paper face stock. Film also lets you use a clear background for a no-label look.
Should the label wrap all the way round?
Only if you want a continuous design. A wrap needs an accurate circumference and a slight overlap, so a front-and-back pair is more forgiving on hand-applied runs.
