Custom Seasoning Packets
A seasoning packet is a small pack with a big aroma problem — the film has to hold volatile oils in and everything else out, on a format with almost no surface area to print on.
Skip the blank page
You already know what you are packaging, so there is nothing to set up. This opens the design engine with the flat pouch / 3-side seal structures on screen — then you type your own dimensions and the dieline is generated at that exact size.
The structures seasoning packets actually ship in
Every one of these is a construction TWOFORM generates a real production dieline for, at your own dimensions — not a template you have to fit your product into. Each opens the engine already on that package type.
Settle this before you design
Aroma barrier, not just moisture barrier
Ground spices lose their volatile oils through an ordinary film long before they take on moisture, and a pack that has lost its aroma is a pack that has failed. That means a metallised or foil layer even on a small, apparently simple sachet — and it means the print sits on the outer web, not on a clear film you can see through.
The mistake that costs a print run
Designing for a panel the format does not have
At three inches wide with a seal down each side, the honest printable area is barely two inches across. Full ingredient decks, cooking instructions and a barcode do not fit there legibly. Decide what has to be on the sachet and what moves to an outer carton before laying anything out, rather than shrinking type until it technically fits.
How you actually make it
- Open the structure above and type your real dimensions. The dieline is generated at that exact size and validated against real manufacturing limits as it draws — if a size cannot be folded, glued and shipped, it says so before you design anything on it.
- Describe your brand and the AI designs the artwork directly onto that dieline — not onto a picture of a package.
- Place your own logo, barcode and any required panel yourself. The AI leaves them exactly as placed unless you ask it to change them.
- Fold it in live 3D to check it, then download print-ready files to use with any printer — or have TWOFORM manufacture it.
Questions about custom seasoning packets
How small can a seasoning sachet be?
Around 2 × 2.4in is the practical floor for a converted flat pouch — below that you are into sachet-machine territory with different tooling. Most retail seasoning packets sit between 3 × 4in and 3.5 × 5in.
Sachet or stick pack for a single dose?
Stick if the powder has to pour into a narrow opening or be torn one-handed; flat sachet if it is emptied into a pan and if you need more printable width for instructions.
Does a spice packet need a foil layer?
For anything aromatic, yes. Volatile oils pass through plain films, so a pack without a metallised or foil layer smells flat well before its printed date.
