Custom Gummy Pouches
Gummies sweat, stick and pick up every smell around them. The bag is a humidity control problem wearing a candy wrapper, and the reclosure has to work with sticky fingers.
Skip the blank page
You already know what you are packaging, so there is nothing to set up. This opens the design engine with the stand-up pouch structures on screen — then you type your own dimensions and the dieline is generated at that exact size.
The structures gummy pouches actually ship in
Every one of these is a construction TWOFORM generates a real production dieline for, at your own dimensions — not a template you have to fit your product into. Each opens the engine already on that package type.
Settle this before you design
Moisture moves both ways, and the zipper decides which
Gummies lose water and go hard in a dry room, and pick it up and fuse into a block in a humid one. That makes the closure a shelf-life component, not a convenience. Specify a zipper that still seals after being opened with sticky hands, and give it a proper tear strip above so the film is not torn through the zipper on first opening.
The mistake that costs a print run
Solid dark ink on a pack that will sit somewhere warm
Heavy ink coverage plus warmth plus the tack of a sugar-coated product is how you get bags blocking together in a case and artwork lifting off one bag onto the back of the next. Break up large solids, keep dense coverage off the back panel where bags press together, and think about where the product sits between the filler and the shelf.
How you actually make it
- Open the structure above and type your real dimensions. The dieline is generated at that exact size and validated against real manufacturing limits as it draws — if a size cannot be folded, glued and shipped, it says so before you design anything on it.
- Describe your brand and the AI designs the artwork directly onto that dieline — not onto a picture of a package.
- Place your own logo, barcode and any required panel yourself. The AI leaves them exactly as placed unless you ask it to change them.
- Fold it in live 3D to check it, then download print-ready files to use with any printer — or have TWOFORM manufacture it.
Questions about custom gummy pouches
Why do my gummies stick together in the bag?
Almost always moisture. Either the product went in warm and sweated inside a sealed pack, or the film and closure are letting humidity in. A dusting agent helps, but the pack and the fill temperature are where the problem is solved.
Do gummy pouches need a zipper?
For any size holding more than one sitting, yes — an unsealed bag changes texture within days. Single-serve sizes genuinely do not need one, and the film specification is the better place to put the effort there.
Can I use a clear window on a gummy pouch?
You can, and buyers like seeing the colour. Keep it away from the seals, and remember that clear areas carry less barrier and let light at the colours, which is what fades a bright red or purple over a long shelf life.
