A hang hole, a shelf-stable base and a hook-and-loop belly band are three different packs, and no design converts between them late. Find out how the product will actually be merchandised — pegged, shelved, binned or shipped direct — and build to that one thing. A pack designed for all three does none of them well.

Softness is what sells a plush toy, and a customer who cannot feel it puts it back. A belly band or a partial carton with the toy exposed sells better than a closed box, even though a closed box protects better. This is a merchandising decision that has to be made before the packaging is drawn.
