Settle this before you design
A sphere in a square box has four gaps and will use all of them
A round product in a rectangular cavity can move diagonally even when it looks tight. Either use an insert with a round cavity or size the carton so the sphere is gripped across the diagonal, not just across the flats. This is the difference between a bath bomb that arrives whole and one that arrives as dust.

Sealing a bomb tightly against moisture also seals in whatever humidity was in the room when it was packed, and the reaction starts slowly inside the pack. Let bombs dry properly, use a pack that is snug rather than airtight, and store them somewhere dry rather than relying on the box to do it.

Questions about custom bath bomb boxes
What size box fits a bath bomb?
Measure the sphere at its widest and add just enough to get it in — a 2.5in bomb wants roughly a 2.75in cube. Any more clearance and it rolls, which is what breaks it.
Why do my bath bombs arrive broken?
Almost always movement inside the pack. A round product in a square cavity travels diagonally, so a fitted round cavity or a genuinely snug box is the fix, not more outer padding.
Should bath bombs be sealed in plastic?
A tight seal traps ambient humidity with the product, which starts the reaction slowly. Dry them fully first and prefer a snug, breathable pack stored somewhere dry.
