The chemistry has to be compatible with the film and the closure
Detergents can attack a sealant layer, swell a fitment or leach into an inner film over months, and the failure shows up as a weeping seal long after the pack shipped. Confirm compatibility with your actual formula before anything is designed, because a change of laminate changes both the appearance and the available finishes.

Concentrated pods are the one product in this category where the closure is a safety component, not a convenience. A simple press zipper is not enough on its own. Decide the closure with that requirement in mind from the start — it changes the top of the pack and therefore the top of the artwork.
How you actually make it
- Open the structure above and type your real dimensions. The dieline is generated at that exact size and validated against real manufacturing limits as it draws — if a size cannot be folded, glued and shipped, it says so before you design anything on it.
- Describe your brand and the AI designs the artwork directly onto that dieline — not onto a picture of a package.
- Place your own logo, barcode and any required panel yourself. The AI leaves them exactly as placed unless you ask it to change them.
- Fold it in live 3D to check it, then download print-ready files to use with any printer — or have TWOFORM manufacture it.
Questions about custom detergent pouches
What size pouch holds a litre of liquid detergent?
Around 6.5 × 10in with a 3.5in bottom gusset plus a spout. Liquids fill a pouch efficiently, so the usable volume is close to the geometric volume.
Will detergent damage the pouch film?
It can. Some formulas attack sealant layers or swell a fitment over time, so compatibility has to be confirmed with the actual formula rather than assumed from the format.
Do pod packs need a special closure?
Yes. Concentrated pods are a genuine hazard if a child can reach them, so the closure is a safety component. Specify it before the artwork, because it changes the top of the pack.
