Settle this before you design
The middle of a coaster is invisible in use
A pint glass base covers roughly two and a half inches of a four-inch coaster. Anything you need read while the drink is on it has to live in the outer ring. Design the ring first and treat the centre as the surface people see only when they pick the glass up — which is where a second message can go.

Designing for a pristine coaster
Pulpboard absorbs, which is the point, and a wet coaster darkens and the ink softens visually. Fine hairlines and small reversed-out type vanish once condensation lands. Use weights and sizes that survive a wet surface, and keep the highest-contrast element the one that has to work.
How you actually make it
- Open the structure above and type your real dimensions. The dieline is generated at that exact size and validated against real manufacturing limits as it draws — if a size cannot be folded, glued and shipped, it says so before you design anything on it.
- Describe your brand and the AI designs the artwork directly onto that dieline — not onto a picture of a package.
- Place your own logo, barcode and any required panel yourself. The AI leaves them exactly as placed unless you ask it to change them.
- Fold it in live 3D to check it, then download print-ready files to use with any printer — or have TWOFORM manufacture it.
Questions about custom bar coasters
What size is a standard bar coaster?
Four inches, round or square. Square gives more printable area for the same table footprint; round is what most venues expect and what most glass bases suit.
Round or square coasters?
Round reads as traditional and sits neatly in a stack; square gives you four corners of visible print outside the glass base. If the design has a call to action, square puts it where it can be seen.
Are ceramic coasters worth it?
For a giveaway people keep, yes — they behave like a gift rather than a consumable. For volume use behind a bar, pulpboard is the format that gets used and replaced.
