Custom Reed Diffuser Boxes
A diffuser box holds a bottle of solvent-based liquid and a bundle of reeds that are longer than the bottle. Leakage and the reed length decide the whole construction.
Skip the blank page
You already know what you are packaging, so there is nothing to set up. This opens the design engine with the straight tuck end structures on screen — then you type your own dimensions and the dieline is generated at that exact size.
The structures reed diffuser boxes actually ship in
Every one of these is a construction TWOFORM generates a real production dieline for, at your own dimensions — not a template you have to fit your product into. Each opens the engine already on that package type.
Settle this before you design
The reeds are longer than the bottle, and that sets the box
Reeds usually run around one and a half to two times the bottle height so the fragrance carries. The carton has to hold them full length — cutting them to fit the box is a product decision made by a packaging mistake. Measure the reed bundle first and let it set the height, then fit the bottle in the space that leaves.
The mistake that costs a print run
Packing a diffuser as if it were a candle
A diffuser bottle contains a thin solvent-based liquid that finds every gap in a closure, and it will attack an uncoated board panel and lift a printed finish if it leaks. Ship it upright, with an insert that holds it upright, and treat a sealed cap and a snug fit as more important than the graphics.
How you actually make it
- Open the structure above and type your real dimensions. The dieline is generated at that exact size and validated against real manufacturing limits as it draws — if a size cannot be folded, glued and shipped, it says so before you design anything on it.
- Describe your brand and the AI designs the artwork directly onto that dieline — not onto a picture of a package.
- Place your own logo, barcode and any required panel yourself. The AI leaves them exactly as placed unless you ask it to change them.
- Fold it in live 3D to check it, then download print-ready files to use with any printer — or have TWOFORM manufacture it.
Questions about custom reed diffuser boxes
What size box fits a 100 ml diffuser?
Around 3 × 3 × 9in once the reeds are allowed for at full length. The reed bundle, not the bottle, is usually what sets the height.
Can a diffuser ship in its retail box alone?
It is risky. The liquid is thin, the closure is the weak point, and a leak damages the printed carton immediately. An outer corrugated box with an insert that holds it upright is the safer route.
Should the reeds be packed with the bottle?
Yes, at full length and alongside the bottle. Trimming reeds to make a shorter box reduces how well the diffuser works, which is a product compromise for a packaging convenience.
