Settle this before you design
Size to the case, not the frame
A hard case is significantly larger in every dimension than the folded frame inside it, and it is the case that has to drop into the carton with clearance. Measure the closed case at its widest and deepest, add clearance, and check the pouch and cloth fit in the same space. A carton sized to the frame simply will not close.
The mistake that costs a print run
Forgetting the cloth and the pouch
A microfibre cloth and a soft pouch are part of nearly every sunglasses pack, and they add real bulk. Packed as an afterthought they either force the carton open or get folded so tightly they arrive creased. Include them in the packed block you measure from the start.

What size box fits sunglasses in a case?
Around 7 × 3 × 3in for a standard hard case with a cloth and pouch. Measure your case closed — it is much larger than the folded frame.
Do I need a carton if the glasses have a case?
For a shelf, usually yes — a carton stacks, carries the barcode and the copy, and gives tamper evidence. Direct sales can ship the case alone in a protective outer.
Can sunglasses hang on a peg?
Yes, with a five-panel hanger carton where the extra panel supports the hang hole. Design the hole in from the start rather than punching one through a finished panel.
